Bring in recordings from anywhere

There is no drag-and-drop uploader yet. A sheet of links does the same job for a folder of files.

People ask for a plain upload button. It is on the list. Until it ships, here is what works today for a folder of recordings that are not in Ringba.

  1. Put the files in a Google Drive folder.
  2. Make a sheet with one row per file: a link to the file, and whatever else you know — the date, the caller, the agent. Only the link is required.
  3. Connect that sheet as a source (see “Connect a Google Sheet”). Each row becomes a call.

Drop more files and rows later and they are picked up on the next sync. The same route works for recordings exported from a PBX, a softphone, or a CRM.

FormatsWe convert whatever arrives with ffmpeg before transcribing, so MP3, WAV, M4A, OGG, WebM and most video containers are fine. Very quiet or heavily compressed audio transcribes, but less well — the Precise transcription tier helps there.
